Nintendog Blog
Feb. 25th, 2007 11:30 pmWell, nothing to report today. ^_^ I figure that when nothing interesting goes on, I'll post fanfiction or something else to catalog and pass the time.
Today, I'm going to post my Nintendog Blog for the game Nintendogs. I haven't played it in quite some time, but if I do start up again, I'll update here. ^_^

The Adventures of Merlin

Hi! I just got Nintendogs today, and I had fun playing it! ^_^ Ever since I heard about the breeds of Nintendogs, I knew exactly which dog to get. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi. ^_^ I've always wanted a Corgi in real life, so Nintendogs is close enough, lol. So, I got the Lab and Friends version. I knew I wanted a Male and happy dog that was orange and white. After looking at several rounds of Corgis, I found my puppy. His description was that he was friendly and gentle, and liked people, and he had the colors I wanted. So I bought him. ^_^ I decided to name him Merlin, because it sounds cool, and is an unusual name, lol. So I said his name, and it seemed like he learned it. When we went for more name training, and I kept saying, "Merlin", but he wouldn't respond. XD A message popped up and said something like, "It appears your puppy has forgotten its name" and something about teaching it again. So, once again, I told him that his name was Merlin, and he finally got it, lol. Merlin did learn to sit pretty good, so he's not completely lost, lol. So, I decided to experiment with the supplies that I was given. He likes the tennis ball, but, when I got out the bubbles, lol, he barked a lot at them, but later on he whimpered and started shaking. So, no more bubbles for Merlin. I took Merlin for a walk, we found a computer character, and he played with a German Shepard for a while. He also found a Bark Ball. So, when we went back home, I tried out the Bark Ball. Poor Merlin is also afraid of the Bark Ball, he ran away from it and shook a little bit. Then, we played with the Blue Frisbee I bought, he liked chasing it. We played for a little bit longer, then I had to stop playing, so, next time I hang out with Merlin, I'll update on our adventures. ^_^

Hi again! Not much to report today, my computer crashed, and I spent most of the day trying to get it fixed. XD I did have a little time to spend with Merlin though.
When I started up Nintendogs, I played with Merlin in the house for a while, I tossed him the Frisbee and the Tennis Ball, and he chased them. We went on a total of 2 walks today, nothing really happened on the first one, but on the second one, we stopped at the Park and played for a while there too.
Between the two walks, I entered Merlin in the Frisbee Competetion, just to see what would happen. We didn't do very good, he scored a 0 point catch and then a 1 point catch. I figured we wouldn't place, but at the very last possible second, Merlin made a 4 point catch, bringing our total to 5 points. 5 points was good enough to get us a nice 3rd Place Trophy and $30. ^_^
That's all I have to report for today, stay tuned for the further adventures of Mewtwo and Merlin! ^_^

Today I had a few minutes with Merlin, but not long. I gave him food and water, and played with him a little. We went for a walk, and we met up with the computer player Logan (German Shepard) and his owner. We have met up with Logan almost every walk we have taken. We got two items, one was a broken camera with no film, and some other item I forget at the moment, lol. Today was Merlin's first bath! I noticed some dirt falling off of him when I was brushing him, so I soaped him up and rinsed him off. Now his coat is beautiful! ^_^
Well, that's all for today, I'll post next time we play!

Today I finally had time to play with Merlin again. I think he may be mad at me, because he was acting a little strange. First I fed and watered him. Then, he didn't seem quite as playful as normal when I got out his tennis ball and frisbee. Then, I pulled out my odd stuff. He barked at the juice bottle, and chewed on the tissue box and the disposable camera for a while. I turned my DS off for a bit so I could plug it in, the power was getting low. When I turned it back on, we went for a walk.
During the walk, Merlin found a Tennis Ball. We went to the park, and we were greeted by Peaches the Pug and Elroy the Chichihua. I brought out Merlin's frisbee, and all the dogs went nuts. They all love the frisbee. They were fighting over it, and all chasing it like crazy. I have never seen Merlin run so fast, then as he did when trying to claim the frisbee first. But, after a bit of fighting, Merlin seemed more interested in licking himself. Even when I tapped him with the stylus, he would perk up, then go back to what he was doing. Elroy seemed to take a liking to me, he kept returning the frisbee whenever he got a hold of it. Finally, Elroy and Peaches tired, so Merlin and I continued playing together. Merlin seems to be getting better at bringing the frisbee back. But, Peaches and Elroy soon regained their strength, and the war began again. At one point I hit the Whistle button, and Peaches ran over to me. Finally, it was time to come back, and on the way back, we met Spot (who had no visible spots on him) and his owner Archie. We finally got back to the house, and I let Merlin run around for a while.
I thought Merlin would be a little happier if I gave him a bath, so I did. He seemed to enjoy the bath very much. A message popped up that said, "Someone looks beautiful!" and another one said, "Merlin feels much better now." After Merlin chewed on the frisbee, he flipped over on his back and rolled around slightly. He then got back up and went and chewed on the frisbee again. Merlin had gotten thirsty again, so I gave him another bowl of water. I then let him play with the tennis ball for a bit. I then played with him and the tennis ball and frisbee.

Hi again! It's been a while since I was able to play with Merlin, so I turned on my DS today. When it started up, Merlin walked over and kept barking. I saw some little black dots on him...I think he might have had fleas...and it said he was filthy, so I gave him a bath. After Merlin got clean, I fed and watered him.
Next, I took Merlin for a walk. Once again, we met up with Logan and his human, David. David told me that my Corgi was a wily rascal, and that I probably had better be stern with him. Merlin and Logan played together, mostly barking at each other. Next, Merlin found a White Rubber Bone, then another Juice Bottle. Then, we finally got to the park. We played with the Frisbee for a while, then Merlin just started sitting around. I figured he was bored with the Frisbee, so I got out the new rubber bone. I believe Merlin doesn't quite know what to do with it. I tossed it to get his attention, and he brought it back to me. This happened for a little bit, then he just ignored the bone. He did roughhouse with it for a little bit, but then and went and sat elsewhere. I then got out Merlin's Tennis Ball and tossed it. He was excited by this, and went and shook the ball. After playing with it for a bit, he brought it back, and I tossed it again. We played for a little bit, then the game said it was time to go back to our walk. During the remainder of our walk, Merlin found another Tennis Ball.
Then, we got back to the house. I decided to experiment with the Juice Bottle. I tossed it around, and Merlin looked at me like I was crazy. He then looked at the bottle and started shaking and whimpering. He walked up to the bottle slowly, then dashed away before he touched it. This happened a few times, then he barked at the bottle. He got bored with this game, and then ignored the bottle for a bit, but then resumed going up to the bottle then running away, barking all the while. I then got out his Rubber Bone. I think he finally understood what to do with it, because he chewed on it for a bit, but then ignored it. We then played for a bit longer.
Well, that's all I have to report for today, I'll write again when next I play! ^_^

Things have been busy here, but I had some time to play with Merlin today.
First, I watered and fed Merlin, he was very hungry and thirsty, so he finished off his food in no time. Next, I noticed little fleas on Merlin, and he was dirty, so I gave him a bath. I also decided to give him a quick brushing. We then played with the Frisbee for a little bit.
I then decided to take Merlin for a walk to the park. We again met up with Spot and Archie. Archie remembered that Merlin got 3rd place a while back in the flying disk competition. The puppies played for a while, then we got to the park. Nobody was at the park, so Merlin and I played with the Tennis Ball and the Frisbee for a while. I gave Merlin a long petting session, and he rolled over on his back and was in puppy Heaven for a while, until he got bored and went after the Tennis Ball. We played with the Tennis Ball until Merlin got bored and sat down. I got out the Frisbee again, and Merlin played with it briefly. I then petted Merlin until it was time to leave the park and get on back to the walk. Merlin then found another White Rubber Bone. We then got back to the house.
At the house, I petted Merlin for a while, and then he poked around the house for a little bit, until it was time for me to go.
