:D Chell got accepted at Mayfield, yay! :D

A few of the players have friended me on Plurk and OH MY GOODNESS EVERYONE IS SO VERY NICE. I feel welcomed and like I belong already. :D

AND even better! Someone I had an awesome dear_mun thread with a while back is playing a character there and they loved the dear_mun thread as much as I did! :D So it'll be great playing with them again, even if we've got different characters this time. XD

And, of course, I'm looking forward to ~~harassing~~ playing with GLaDOS there. <3 And there's a load of other awesome looking characters I saw in the applications. :D

ALSO, Chell is now married to Germany from Hetalia and I find this way too hilarious. XD

Sugoicon was pretty fun, but nothing super huge happened, so I'll just throw them out in note form (most are YAY PEOPLE LIKE MY COSTUME XD)

-I got to see a whole bunch of friends from college that I hadn't seen in a while (years in some cases)! :D
-I saw somebody who I haven't been in contact with for 2 years, so yay!
-Chris Ayres remembered us! :D He gave us big hugs when he saw us and on the last day he even hugged us and kissed us on the cheeks! :D
-Chris also said we were "longtime friends" and we chatted with him for a bit two different days. ^_^
-Also Greg Ayres remembered us too and we talked to him a bit on the last day, he was busy so we didn't see him much.
-One of the webcomic guests liked my cosplay and took a picture of it! :O
-A Homestuck cosplayer really really liked my cosplay and gave me hugs and said I had made her weekend. ^_^
-In the dealer room, I was looking at stuff and heard some guy talking about an awesome cosplay and that's how cosplay should be done and stuff AND THEN HE ASKED TO TAKE MY PICTURE AND SAID HE LIKED MY COSPLAY
-A handful of people took my picture and liked my costume ^_^
-At the rave, two guys were like, "Chell escaped!" My thoughts were "CHELL ESCAPED AND THE FIRST THING SHE DID WAS GO TO A RAVE. YES." XD
-I FINALLY GOT TO SEE SOMEBODY COSPLAY FROM CAVE STORY YAY! I SAW A DUDE COSPLAYING QUOTE, SO AWESOME. :D Didn't have a chance to take a pic, though. But, I've always wanted to see a Cave Story cosplayer, so, mission complete! :D

Not much has been going on here lately, things have been pretty quiet.

I did have a bit of excitement earlier today, though. XD

I've been meaning to upload some awesome official Chell artwork to The Portal Wiki for some time now, I finally remembered to today. So while I'm in the process of saving the images, fixing them up, and putting them on Chell's page, ELLEN MCLAIN WRITES ME ABOUT THE CHAT I BOUGHT AT GMX. WHAT ARE THE ODDS? WHAT A WEIRD COINCIDENCE. XD JUST REALLY BIZARRE. I MEAN, IT'S UNCANNY. XD I FINALLY GET AROUND TO UPLOADING CHELL PICS AND GLaDOS' VOICE ACTRESS WRITES ME. XD

Also, in-depth discussion of the possible video game RP is going on here. :D

Oh hey, I'm considering making a video game-based RP around here on LJ sometime and I was curious if anyone might be interested. :D

It'll be loosely based on the premise of Captain N and crossover games (Like Super Smash Bros.). I don't really have much of a plan beyond that, just depends on what people want. :D

So, any input on this? ^_^

Sorry for vanishing again, things have been a little busy around here.

Dad was on vacation last week. ^_^ Once my Sister got out for Fall Break, we went to Universal.

The trip was pretty good, though it rained a ton on our last day, so we just chilled in the hotel room. ^_^

Before the trip, we ended up watching Transformers movies 2 and 3. Revenge of the Fallen was better than I remembered, I guess a second watching is necessary? Dark of the Moon was pretty good, I enjoyed it, but I don't think we'll be getting it for now. I'll probably be keeping an eye out for sales. XD

I'm on a Transformers kick right now because of watching the movies. :D I'm currently reading the prequel novel to the first movie. :D It is pretty good and written by one of my favorite authors, but I keep getting distracted so it's going so slow. XD

Also working on an AU idea where Samus Aran from Metroid, instead of her planet being destroyed by Space Pirates, it was the Decepticons and instead of being adopted by Chozo, it was the Autobots. XD I really like some of the ideas I have for it, though there's no real long term plot yet. Also, since movie!Transformers (and the prequel novels) is almost all I know, that's what it'll mostly be based on, plus my own crazy ideas. :D

I'm really really really enjoying RPing Wheatley, I honestly don't think I've ever has this much fun RPing in all my what, almost 6-7 years of RPing online. The LJ game I've currently got him at seems fairly dead and inactive right now, but I've been having shenanigans on Tumblr with talking/RPing with people and posting/reblogging things in character. He's the only character I've really had confidence playing, and I still get a bit nervous sometimes, but then I get caught up in the nonsense and just have so much ridiculous fun. XD I probably should look for a new LJ game to toss him in, but the last part of this month is going to be busy busy, so I'll probably wait until November and like throw him at dear mun like I've been meaning to FOREVER.

*FLAILS* NEXT FRIDAY IS CONVENTION THAT WILL HAVE ELLEN MCLAIN AND PORTAL PARTY AND I'LL GET TO COSPLAY CHELL AND I AM SO CRAZY EXCITED

I'm also nervous about convention, mostly cosplay anxiety with everything to kinda obvious/big to stupidly ridiculously tiny.

ALSO need to fix up the ID I made for Chell and figure out what to do to fix my shoes. Neither one will take long, so that's good. :D

AND unfortunately, I discovered that the poster I bought to get signed is NEARLY AS LONG AS A COUCH. WHAT. XD So I'm kinda UHHHH about that too. XD

So um, yeah, things are going mostly well here, yay! :D

Dad Update - Dad had the appointment with the test results today. The tests showed nothing, but since he had two seizures, they want him to stay on the medicine for two years. I'm glad there's nothing terribly wrong. ^_^

Went to Zaxby's to eat today, hooray! Their grilled cheese sandwiches are THE BEST. EVER. :D

:| Still having problems getting to sleep. I just get so excited about an idea, my brain goes YAYYAYYAY and then SUDDENLY I'VE BEEN AWAKE FOR HOURS. :| I've got one fanfic idea I'm currently OBSESSED with, however, I keep changing things up and I can't decide on how exactly I want things to go. I have the basic structure (and the way I want to do it, the canon provides a nice structure to start from), I just have things I'm trying to figure out the flow of. I know I probably need to have at least 1 original character thrown in for support, but there's more I could add and I don't know which ones are better for the story and ARGH. XD Sometime I'm going to have a huge entry entailing what I've got so far for ideas. XD

Wheatley got accepted to

farmbasket, so yay! :D I can't wait until I can play there, I've got some wacky ideas for him and shenanigans I thought of, so it should be fun. :D

Also, going off on vacation Sunday, this'll be my last post until August 8, I hope everybody has a great weekend and week! :D

Dad Update - His bruise has gotten a little bigger on some days, but he's still not hurting too much from it. He goes at 8 AM on Friday to get his results from the tests.

Things have been pretty quiet around here, not much to report.

We watched some movies this weekend.

Cars 2 - Hmmm, I'm not sure what to say about it, to be honest. Some things I liked, others not so much. I was surprised at the amount of deaths in it (okay, just 2 that I remember, but STILL). Also, the moral seemed to get mixed up at the end, I think they were going for "Love your friends the way they are, don't try to change them" but it ended up coming off as "Always be yourself, even if yourself is rude and obnoxious, without regard to anyone else or their culture". The plot was pretty convoluted, but wasn't impossible to follow.

Unknown - This one was pretty good, but I ultimately found it frustrating. The plot twists towards the end didn't make any sense, or rather, the character's reactions to the plot twists didn't seem to be a normal or expected reaction to finding out said things.

The Adjustment Bureau - This one was okay. It's described as a romance thriller, but it didn't balance the parts too well. Some parts were purely romance, others were purely exciting bits. There were a few that had more balance, but overall, I wasn't fond of the flow of the movie. It starts out pretty slow. It's a bit frustrating overall, but I'm not sure exactly what all I'm frustrated about with it.

Tonight, there was a pizza party for the teen volunteers at the library. Since Mom is in charge of them and I had done some volunteering, we both went. Free pizza, yay! :D

I apped Wheatley (chattersphere) over at farmbasket last night. ^_^ I haven't gotten a reply back of whether or not I've been accepted, but I think it might be because of LJ being all stupid and stuff lately. I'm a little nervous because I got a bit rambly in the biography and it doesn't go through all of Portal 2, I just took it up to the canon point I took him from. It has also been FOREVER since I apped anywhere, so I could have messed up somewhere. XD

Also! Going on another vacation starting Sunday and I won't be back until like August 8. ^_^

Dad Update - Dad's hip bruise is still growing bigger. D: But he isn't really hurting from it, so that's still good.

Had problems sleeping since it was too hot upstairs, so I poked on the computer for a while this morning.

Tonight, I've been working on Wheatley icons. I've made some progress. :D Still quite a bit more screenshots to go through, and more icons to make, but at least I've narrowed them down for the most part. ^_^

Things have been fairly quiet here, nothing much to report.

Update on Dad: D: Last night he slipped getting into his truck and bruised and cut his hip pretty bad. His arm's all bruised up too, and his hand is still bruised up from the weirdness. It seemed kinda like he was limping a bit today and he put some ice on his hip. However, later, he said he wasn't in pain, so thank goodness for that. He's going to get an EEG tomorrow. Not sure when we'll get the results, it was supposed to be in a couple of weeks, when he's on vacation, but he decided that we might be going to Disney World instead, so the appointment needs to be moved.

The mysterious luncheon at the library was no big deal. XD It was for anybody who had entered in the drawing by reading at least one book for the adult summer reading program. XD I helped out with Dad while he was in his Darth Vader costume at both the Teen and Children's parties. I helped pass out Star Wars gummy snacks for the kids' party. XD

Me and Makenzie plotted for getting my cosplay together. Soon, we're going to have a cosplay shopping trip to get all the supplies that she needs to make my jumpsuit. :D However, the only day she's free so far is the day we might be leaving on our trip. T___T However, hopefully, by that time the jumpsuit pattern that I ordered will come. I ordered it Saturday night, and it says it'll ship in 2-3 weeks, so the timing is just about right if all goes well. ^_^ My package of Portal goodies, including the tank top for the cosplay, is scheduled to get here Thursday, but it was in Memphis the other day, but then went to Mississippi for some unknown reason. XD It left wherever it was in Mississippi like 20-ish minutes ago, so it coullldd maybe get here tomorrow.

I've been playing Portal 2 to make a timeline for Wheatley. I finished the game up tonight and now all I need to do is add a few little things from quotes I missed or weren't in the game and the like. Then I need to polish it up and it'll be ready to go. :D

Things have been pretty quiet around here, not much to report. ^_^

Dad had an MRI today and has an EEG next Wednesday and near the beginning of August, he's going to the neurologist to see the results. He's been doing fine lately, so that's good. ^_^

Um, we've watched some movies, some good and some really really really bad. I negative recommend Drive Angry. >:| There's one character that was fun to watch, but the rest of the movie UGH, total loss. :| The Mechanic was pretty good, a bit violent, but still good. Also Jimmy Neutron is always fun. :D Read up a bit on Ooblar on the wikis and apparently King Goobot (who might be his brother) at one point in time traded Ooblar for some butter. He was never seen again after that. XD XD XD

Me and my Sister both separately think that Ooblar and Wheatley are a lot alike. XD My Sister says that both are useless and obnoxious, or something like that. XD And that maybe they should have traded Wheatley for butter like they did for Ooblar. XD

Been Portaling again, I did some screenshots for cosplay references in Portal and Portal 2. I'm also in the middle of a Portal 2 run where I'm attempting to put together a timeline for Wheatley. I'm trying to make an app for him so I can RP him. ^_^ I also have a BAZILLION screenshots of him that I'm slowly going through to make icons. I also need to do another run where I pay attention to his personality and other things. ^_^ My goal is to have him ready by the end of the month because Dad's on vacation in early August. I'm working on a Chell cosplay. :D There's a convention in Nashville in October that I am going to TRYTRYTRY my hardest to go to because GLaDOS' voice actress is going to be there. :D :D :D I ordered the tank top the other night (and some other Portal goodies). ^_^ I talked to Mrs. Lisa today and she said she could probably help me out with the jumpsuit. ^_^  We might try to get Maddie involved too, because she can do anything. :D  And once said she could make a portal gun. ^_^ I'm working on ideas for the boots, I think rain boots look pretty close to the Portal 2 ones, so that's the angle I'm working from at the moment. I found some that look ALMOST PERFECT but they are expensive. :|  However, if the jumpsuit ends up being cheap, I might could justify it. :D  Then I need to figure out how to do the boot springs, but if I don't, it's not a big deal. I have an idea of how to do it where it won't mess up the boot and I can take them on and off, but I have NO idea if it's even feasible and if it's sturdy enough to stand wear and tear. Right now, I'm considering the portal gun optional because it'll be a pain to haul around and get it made. XD The boots are fairly optional as well, but I'd like to at least get similar looking or white rain boots. XD And even if I can't go to that convention, there's Halloween like the week or so after-ish and another convention I usually go to two weeks after, so I'll have plenty of opportunities around then to wear it. :D The library usually does a Halloween party before Halloween and I think some of the teens at Teen Night would be up for a cosplay night and of course there's always just around town for giggles (especially since I actually look similar to Chell whereas I look nothing like Ichigo XD). :D

I haven't had a new costume in years I am SO SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS. :D

Helped again at the library today. ^_^ And checked out all 9 books so far in the Young Wizards series. :D  I've been waiting for the library to get book 8 and then they got book 9 recently, so I was all over that. XD  It's been years since I've read the series, so I don't mind reading it again. It's pretty good, especially the first three books. ^_^

We're going back to the library again tomorrow and Teen Night is some kind of hair feather thing, so that should be interesting. ^_^ And maybe we can get some cosplay discussion and plotting in. :D

If all goes well, we'll be eating with Pappaw tomorrow morning. ^_^

Annnnd, tomorrow night is MIDNIGHT SHOWING OF HARRY POTTER YAY!  :D

And then Saturday is library party day with my Dad as Darth Vader. WHOOOO! I'll be helping out with whatever random stuff is needed, like I always do at the library. :D

So that's about everything really interesting going on right now. ^_^

*bounces* Finally finished the "behind the scenes" portion of my Portal novelization! :D Took me two days, over 10,000 words, and between 6-8ish hours to accomplish. XD This means I'll have more than enough time to finish off the GLaDOS section and the epilogue bits. The story needs some editing and I need to go back and fancy up some stuff thanks to this awesome official video. :D Plus changes I may need to make after playing Portal 2. I just wanted the big, main bulk of the story to be DONEEEE before Portal 2, I knew I probably wouldn't have time to edit it and make it nice. ^_^

Things have been kinda crazy around here this weekend and today.

I ended up keeping Pokemon White, so I went ahead and caught Victini for my Sister. I've still got some stuff to do and get on there. XD

Bleach on Saturday night was pretty awesome. :D Szayel throwing a fit and stomping on the doll was hilarious. XD Though, this means that next week IS -THAT- EPISODE. XD

Sunday was Dad's birthday!  :D We went to Fazoli's with his family, it was pretty good. ^_^

I was trying to come up with a Tron-style outfit for Chell (Portal) and then was like, "Chell would totally give Tron a run for his money in Disc Wars." AND THEN I SHIPPED TRON/CHELL. XD

We had a storm blast through today. D: Some of the thunder was REALLY loud (and still is!). Also, there was a WOOSH of rain and wind and stuff and snapped our Bradford Pear tree over. D: Mom's heartbroken over it, especially since the cardinals liked it. Though, we are discussing maybe getting something pretty like a Dogwood or a Cherry Blossom tree to replace it.

Me and Mom went to eat with Pappaw at a home-cooking restaurant. It was pretty good. ^_^

Played a bit of Pokemon Black and started my real save file finally. XD  Downloaded the Liberty Pass, so I've gotta go pick it up when I finally get to the Pokemon Center. XD

:D  My controller and GBA Tron 2.0 came today! :D

Unfortunately, I've been ADD today and can't focus on anything. XD

I think Mom said we were going to order Tangled on Amazon, I might pick up the original Tron novel, I've heard supposedly it gives more details on stuff. Can only get it used (understandably) and there's one place that Amazon backs up, so if it is in horrible shape, Amazon can take care of it. :D It's only $6-ish, so that's not bad at all. :D

There's some icons I want/need to make, but I am totally slacking and doing everything but that. :D  XD

Today was pretty good. ^_^

Had problems sleeping. :| Woke up early and poked on the computer for a while. Got reaallly tired and went back to bed for a bit and had weird dreams. XD I know for sure that there was something about microwave pizza by the slice and something about Joshua-sama from V. XD

I am tired of being sick though. D:  The Winter Coughs won't go away. Even if I'm not coughing, my throat and lungs feel all scratchy. :|

Dad started up the lawnmower today, and had problems like normal. :< He's lawnmower cursed, even had problems when trying to power it up with the big van's engine. D: Finally got it going though!  :D

Me and Mom went to the fridge to look for lunch, and I saw the microwave pizza by the slice and I was like, "I HAD A DREAM ABOUT THAT PIZZA." :D  So, we had that pizza. XD

Did another round of starters on Black/White. Only have 1 round left, unless I do any for friends. ^_^

Did some maintenance on all 61 of my RP accounts. Knew I had a lot, but not THAT many. XD Mostly just cleaned things up, changed the spelling on the Arrancar ones, added some links and stuff to some, and added a post with a link to my How's My Driving to all of them. ^_^ Kingdom Hearts Tron got a little more stuff added, because I had a bunch of links for him. XD

Controller hasn't shipped yet, but I had read that it was slow shipping. XD Gives me more time for Pokemon until Tron eats my life again. XD

Tomorrow is going to be...-interesting-. Me and Mom are going to help Pappaw babysit one of Trish's grandchildren. In the past, she was something of a terror, but behaved pretty well at Thanksgiving. So, it's kind of a tossup if she'll behave. Pappaw also needs to go to the hospital to visit one of his friends. His friend has colon cancer, I think. But the main problem is he has some kind of heart failure going on. D: So, we're all worried about him. D: Anyways, so at some point, it'll just be me and Mom watching the granddaughter. Trish isn't getting home until like 8, so we might have to spend all day with her granddaughter and trying to find things to entertain her. We might go to Sonic to eat outside and maybe take her to McDonald's to run loose on the playground. And maybe ice cream. And maybe to the park and might feed the ducks there. XD It'll be an interesting day, anyways. XD

Well, I'm back from vacation! :D  It was pretty awesome. ^_^

We ended up staying another day, so we didn't get back until Saturday night.

Didn't get everything I wanted done on vacation, but that's okay. XD Our hotel was next to the Magic Kingdom, so we could -totally- walk there. :D That was super-awesome. It's the only one on Disney property that you can do so from. XD  So we spent a lot of time there. Magic Kingdom was also open later than most of the parks most nights, so I'd go there at night, often with Dad. ^_^ The monorail also goes through the main section of the hotel, so it was fun to ride to Epcot a few times. ^_^

:D  Got to ride the Tronorail to Epcot and back! :D  It's just a monorail with a Tron design, but it's so pretty. :D

We mostly stayed at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. XD  Me and Dad went to ~~MGM~~ Hollywood Studios to ride Tower of Terror, but there were SO MANY PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. There was a small line for the Great Movie Ride, so we did that instead and then left. XD

Got some neat Tron stuff and a Munna figure and Pokedoll. :D

On the way home, I lost 3 hours to Pokemon Trozei. XD Haven't played it in forever. XD

At home, we caught up on TV. V is getting super-good, though it may not have another season. T____T AND JOSHUA-SAMA HAS HIS MEMORIES BACKKKKK, SO YAY. :D

Me and Dad played Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Mean Bean Machine on the Sonic Mega Collection. We didn't do so well on 2 and on 3 I had a save file at Marble Garden Zone WHICH IS A FAIL FOREVER. >:| NOBODY LIKES YOU MARBLE GARDEN, NOBODY. It's super-weird and confusing and not really any fun. :|

Bleach episodes 194 and 195 were REALLY good! :D  I have newfound respect for Nel's Fraccion and Szayel. SO AWESOME. Also, Tesla, you jerk, leave Ichigo alonnnneee. *shakes fist*

Started on Pokemon Black/White tonight. I'm borrowing my Sister's White until she comes home again to get all the starters. :D

I need to figure out how to turn my brain off, because when I go to bed, it suddenly becomes HEY LOOK LISTEN DO THIS IN FANFIC DO THAT IN FANFIC MAYBE THIS WORKS THAT OTHER THING DOESN'T WORK I LIKE THIS IDEA and it's like this is awesome and all, but why don't you do this when I am awake and on the computer when I can write all this nonsense down and my brain is all like NOPE, SLEEP DEPRIVATION :D. And then this morning, it felt like I had been awake FOREVER but then it was like only 11, so it's like I have problems getting to sleep because EXCITING IDEAS and then I wake up early and it's like EXCITING IDEAS OKAY BORED LET'S GET UP AND PLAY ON THE COMPUTER OR SOMETHING :D. And then I'm tired and/or headachy all day and IT IS ALL MY STUPID BRAIN'S FAULT FOR COMING UP WITH STUPID IDEAS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE GOOD. XD

Also, I found the BEST Tron fanart ever. I have seriously been giggling over it for DAYS. You don't need to know anything about Tron to enjoy it, there's no spoilers and it's totally not canon and THE FACES ARE THE MOST HILARIOUS EVER. Here it is in all its glory :D

I have this idea that I thought would be pretty cool. :D

I need to write some battle scenes for fanfiction, and let's face it, I STINK at battle scenes. :|

So I need some practice. :D

I thought it'd be fun to get a couple of people and have some kind of crazy RP battle with each of us taking one type of fighter and then after a few posts as each style, we switch characters and play different styles. We'd rotate a couple of times and make sure everybody got a turn as each type of fighter/character. :D

I'm sort of getting ready for my Kingdom Hearts Tron thing, so the battle styles I need to practice are:
-Keyblade/Sword/Short Staff (essentially short-range weapons that whack and/or slash)
-Identity Disc/Boomerang (long-distance returning throwing weapons, though the Identity Disc can be used for very short range, so maybe a bladed boomerang or something XD)
-Heartless/Beastly Monster (any and all shapes and sizes)

The only rules would be to have fun and not god-mode the battle. :D If you didn't like the way somebody was writing, say the monster, you could change it when it was your turn and maybe even turn it into a different type of monster. Same goes for the others. Crack is more than welcome, if the Monster wants to say, "I am your father." to the Disc-er, then the Keyblader could be like, "And I'm your mother!" Building crazy backstories and then changing them is fine and hilarious. The general idea is the Keyblader and the Disc-er are fighting the Monster, but then somebody could have one turn and be on the Monster's side. Or they decide that they don't need to fight and a picnic is in order. XD

And maybe afterwards have some kind of constructive round table and be like, "Your dragon was pretty awesome, but you need to work on your discing." Or stuff like, "You disc pretty cool, but can you even DO that with a Keyblade?" That way everybody can figure out how to work on their battle skills. :D

What do you guys think? Anybody interested?

I'm going on vacation, so it'll be a week or two before this gets off the ground, so there's plenty of time to decide and/or plot. XD
