Lazy Day

Today's been pretty good.

Me, Mom, and my Sister went to eat at a local Mexican restaurant with Pappaw.  ^_^  It was good.  They're remodeling the place, kind of, so it looks a little different, mostly just different colors.

It used to be a Pizza Hut years and years ago and I think they had a Pac-Man game.  That reminded me that I need to look up that one Pac-Man game I played on the Sega Genesis that time I rented it.  It was neat.  I look it up every now and then and promptly forget the name of it and have to start all over again in my search.  XD

I've been kinda sleepy, so I haven't done much of anything.  I didn't sleep well and didn't work on any story ideas that I can remember, last night was unproductive.  XD



I keep trying to convince myself to read Death Note, but a combination of tiredness, me keep looking for finding things to read other than it, and my dislike for Light so far are keeping me from doing so yet.  XD  But, we do have through volume 7 of physical manga (we always threaten to buy the rest at conventions but never do  XD), which is mostly what I need.  I'll probably continue after that to see if there's any references and other information I need.  XD

Also, I love this icon waaaaay too much.  XD  When If I make an L RP account, I will probably stick it in, even if all the rest may be anime-based.  I haven't decided.  When I get around to reading it, I will probably make icons as I go, or at least make notes of panels for icons.  XD

Another note on this topic, I've never read the Death Note manga, but my whole family used to sit down and watch the anime when it was on Adult Swim.  ^_^  Dad loved him some Death Note, for months after it was over, he would list his ideas for how to have it continue.  One of his favorites was that it was all a dream and Light wakes up and figures out what he needs to do different.  XD  Sadly, he hasn't mentioned it in a while.  Maybe we should find the three live action movies and reintroduce him.  :D

I did read a few pages years back before it was popular and when it was pretty new, Eric sent me a link to a scanlated version.  Sadly, I've lost the link since then, but it is some kind of history because Eric likes to be remembered as the one in our group of friends who found it first.  This paragraph is for you, Eric.  :D

We also watched like the uh...first 17 or so episodes in anime club at school and we stopped at a terrible, terrible point where I couldn't figure out how it could even continue.  XD  It was a while later before it aired on Adult Swim.  XD

I'm sorry I keep going on and on about Death Note stuff years after it is relevant.  I just recently got around to reading the two light novels about L, which has sparked a terrible obsession with everyone's favorite sweets-eating detective.  XD

I rambled on about it more than I originally intended to, I didn't realize that there were so many little important memories all wrapped up in it.  XD



I'm trying to not get too sucked into my new Toontown Anime adventure self-insert fanfiction idea.  I realize that if I get too drawn in, I could probably spend many years of my life mapping Toontown and deciding jobs and friends for every character ever.  XD  And it would be a waste of time, no matter how fun it might be, because it's just fanfiction.  If it wasn't fanfiction and something original, then maybe I could justify that.  Besides, I probably won't even write anything of it anyways, because that's how I roll.  XD  Though, the first order of serious business should probably be to change the human character from me to not-me.  XD  Maybe if I ever do write it and I still am the human character I will just keep it here and safe where very few people will read it and not release it into the untamed wilderness of fanfiction.net.  XD
