Good Day

Today was pretty good.  ^_^

We went to eat at Fazoli's, yum!  ^_^  <3

Me and Mom did a few errands, we went to the used bookstore.  They didn't take any of the books I brought, but I found a couple of neat sounding ones and a trilogy I had been wanting to read.  :D  Also two versions of Wind in the Willows, because I couldn't decide on which one had the better pictures, and they were $1 and $1.50.  XD


Somebody at dear_mun posted this trailer from this website.  Very, very interesting.  XD  Too bad I don't know Chinese or I'd try to sign up for the game.  Google Translate doesn't really help, either.  XD  Maybe after it opens, people will write up something on how to get in and play.  XD




After sleeping on it, I've got a few thoughts on my fanfic.  XD  Overall, it's a little bit of a failure, because it doesn't accomplish anything I set out to do.  XD

Also, to my horror, last night I realized, I forgot to write descriptions for ANY of the characters.  XD  I don't know what's worse, that, or the fact that I didn't even think about writing character descriptions until HOURS later.  XD

Anyways, besides that GLARING HUGE FAILURE, here's the minor failures it has:

-It was supposed to be an RP prompt/starting post.  It's 9 pages.  XD
-Akane's circumstances come off as kind of Mary-Sueish
-However, she does nearly nothing the entire time, often just sitting and listening while other characters talk.  XD
-This is only a problem because she's the "main character" insofar as that she is in every scene.  XD
-I don't know if the characters are in character or not.  XD  I think they are, but I'm not realllly an objective source.  XD
-I had more fun writing Isshin than any other character.  XD
-Nothing really happens in the fanfic, I'm not really sure what it's supposed to accomplish  XD
-It features an OC, which usually indicates huge failure.  XD
-I feel like I probably repeated words and actions too many times

I probably would have been just as happy writing a whole thing with Isshin and Ichigo arguing, it would have been glorious.  XD

All in all, it's something of a learning experience, I'm using it to figure out what my weaknesses are.  Apparently descriptions are one of them.  XD

Overall, I'd probably give it a C, it's mediocre in nearly all ways, but not nearly bad enough to have any sort of fun making fun of it.  XD  Might give it a B-, just because it wasn't supposed to be a fanfic, and it's okay for what it is.  XD

So it's kind of a fail, but overall, it's sort of a success, because my brain's felt kinda clear and not clogged up with thinking about it.  XD  So, I'll probably continue writing bizarre mediocre fanfic and trying to get better as I go along.  ^_^

I'd really like some crit on it, tell me what I got wrong, what you didn't like about it, and suggestions of ways to fix it.  I need to know my weaknesses before I tackle any other projects.  ^_^

Edit:  I finished the quest!  ^_^  Looks like the old Celebi was deleted when it ended, but I got a new one, so it's all okay.  :D
