This weekend was pretty great.  ^_^

We watched two movies, The Tale of Desperaux and The Land Before Time.  We had recorded Desperaux off TV.  It was okay, pretty but very slow.  I think both Mom and Dad fell asleep a little bit during it.  XD  As for Land Before Time, Littlefoot's Mother will live one of these days.  >:|

Me and Dad finished up My-HiME.  ^_^  Something didn't go exactly as I remembered, there's a director's cut version of the episode, so it might have been from that, I read the manga once (it wasn't that great and I didn't know beforehand that it was kinda naughty) so it could have been from that, or, it was because the last time I watched it was like 6:30 in the morning after a long night of marathoning part of Azumanga Daioh and part of My-HiME.  XD

Once again, me and Dad watched the 4 rerun episodes of Bleach.  XD

Saturday, we went to Red Robin, it was really yummy!  ^_^  Sunday, we made salmon patties, and I helped a lot.  ^_^

WHOO CAVE STORY WII TODAY HUZZAH!

It's still good as ever, a few things though:

-The new music isn't terrible, but the old music was better.  I'm still curious as to how my favorite song is going to sound like.  Some of my other favorites didn't fare so well.
-WHY ARE THE EXP TRIANGLES SO FREAKING ANNOYING?  I DON'T REMEMBER THEM BEING THIS BAD AND THE NOISE THEY MAKE WHEN BOUNCING REMINDS ME OF THE RINGING IN MY EARS I GET SOMETIMES.  I FIND MYSELF HOPING I DON'T GET EXP JUST SO THEY WON'T SHOW UP.  THEY ALSO SEEM TO OVERPOWER THE MUSIC, NO MATTER HOW LOW I TURN THE VOLUME THEY STILL ARE SHRILL AND LOUD.  THERE IS AN OPTION TO MESS WITH THE SOUND EFFECTS, BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE EXP TRIANGLES AND I DON'T WANT TO QUIET EVERYTHING ELSE.  >:|
-Balrog no longer says "Huzzah!" but instead "Oh yeah!"  Huzzah was awesome, but you first see him bursting through the door, so Oh yeah has the lol Kool-Aid Man factor.  XD  I like both in their own ways, but I think I'll stick to Huzzah, because it's fun to say.  XD
-  :|  Apparently am stupid and missed something, I am currently stuck.  I was trying to activate the secret ending, but I must have goofed somewhere.  I made a topic on GameFAQs asking about it, but so far, most of the suggestions are things I've already tried.  I'll go back and try them again though tomorrow.  Don't have much of a choice since I can't proceed with the game.  :|
-The manual has a thanks to the Cave Story LJ and Facebook groups, of which I am a member of, so I liked that.  <3 <3 <3

A week or so ago, maybe when we watched DiamondDust, I considered RPing Hitsugaya solely because he is sane and I need somebody sane to play.  XD  I decided against it, however, until a few days ago when I got a new idea.  I'm very, very tempted to play Vanilla (Hitsugaya stand-in) from Billy vs. Snakeman.  XD XD XD  Unfortunately, I don't know all that much about him, but judging from the microphone, name, and Jutsu you can get from him, he is somehow involved in music.  XD  There are Captains and Vice-Captains in the game, but they're only mentioned like that, with no names.  The thought of playing him makes me giggle, but I'd have to figure out exactly how he fits in the game, before I can even do that.  Though, it'd be worth it alone for him calling everyone by their names from the game, because they are all crazy.  XD

Still thinking some on My-HiME!Orihime and friends, nothing so far though.

I've been thinking on the Portalfordt story, I think it'd be more fair to call it a bizarre adaptation of the game, rather than a fanfic.  It also needs a name, I've come up with a possible one, but I'm not completely happy with it and I'm not sure if I remember the definition of one of the words properly.  XD  I haven't done any solid work on it, but I'm going to try to read some manga chapters tonight.  I'm having doubts about the prologue, as it pretty much takes a scene from the Bleach anime and replaces what video Szayel is watching.  I'm not sure if that's stealing an idea or just using it to keep in character.  :|

I've come across another problem, as I was thinking about Portal, I realized that if you place two portals flat on the ground and jump in one, it appears you pop out the other right side up, even though you should come out feet first.  A while back, I found a list of commands for the developer console, and one was third-person mode, so I loaded it up and sure enough, you're always right side up.  However, it does seem that for an instant, you see the feet coming out first, then it pops back to Chell being the right way up.  I don't know if this is a limitation of the game engine, if it can't handle people flying around upside down, sideways, and the like.  It could also be a gameplay modification, to make it easier on the person playing, so they don't have to compensate for being upside down.  Logically, how the game handles it doesn't make any sense at all, but I can see why they did it, or why it was necessary, and it doesn't really matter because it's first person and you can pretend you're upside down if you're that determined.  So, I'm not sure quite how to handle this for poor Yylfordt, there's several times you have to jump down into a portal, he'd either have to dive a long way face-first towards the ground, or go flying around upside down and having difficulties there.  >_>

edit:  I just did some testing with a turret and portals.  When you drop it in feet-first, the feet come out first in the other portal and vice versa.  I'm assuming that the same thing doesn't happen with Chell, due to the inability for the game to have someone upside down.  So, I have to be careful with poor Portalfordt and make sure he goes in head first so he doesn't get himself bizarrely injured.
