I slept in really late today. <3
Dad made hot dogs, cheese bread, and green beans. ^_^
A friend is taking care of 5 kittens, and she said we could come over and play with them. <3 She has 7 cats of her own, and these kittens are from the vet office that she works at and they need someone to take care of them. The tiny kittens were so adorable! ^_^ There were two black and white ones, two white ones with greyish on their heads, and one calico. ^_^ One of the black and white ones greeted me and poked at my shoe. XD We got to bottle-feed the kittens, pretty much, we held the bottle for the kitten and the kitten sucked on it. XD The kittens and cats liked my shoes, and the kittens were fascinated with my shoestrings and untied them. XD We also played with a kitten toy with them. ^_^
The other cats were Charley - an orange cat, Schitz and George - twin grey and white cats, Kitten/Squirt - a brown stripy cat who has a bit of brain damage from a bad ear infection and still is a sweet cat, Peanut - a solid black cat, Mr. Jones - a 20-pound brown stripy cat with a bit of white, and a black and white cat that I forgot the name of.
Our friend is named Katie, and she said that orange cats are usually brats, so she's started the stereotype, "That cat is such an orange." XD
We mostly played with the kittens, but the other cats came in and out. Peanut greeted us and wanted to go outside. XD George wasn't sociable and we only saw him for a few minutes, and I thought he was Schitz, until Katie said otherwise. Squirt lives in the bathroom. XD Katie said that he'll sit in the sink and people have to wash their hands and brush their teeth around him. XD He also takes showers with people, but sometimes he sits on the other side of the clear curtain and gets confused and pokes at the water falling down on the opposite side. XD His head is at a permanent tilt because of his brain damage, and Katie says it looks like he's always saying, "Hi! How's it going?" He also has a funny purr. ^_^ He wasn't too sociable in the living room, but in the bathroom he was rubbing up against me, so cute! ^_^ Mr. Jones was a lot of cat. XD He was very huge. XD I was playing with him, and one of his back claws accidentally got stuck in the skin on my pinky. >_< That wasn't fun.
Katie grows catnip and brought some in. XD Nearly all the cats were around her, but the kittens didn't really seem to care too much. XD She tore off little pieces for them to eat and gave us some to give to them too. She also rubbed it on my pants and my sister's sock, so the cats paid attention to them. XD One cat was sniffing my pants, and Charley nudged him out of the way and proceeded to rub his head all over my knee. XD
Katie's son is named Christopher, but sometimes we just call him Topher. ^_^ He made Origami things for us, sailboats, kabuto samurai helmets, jumping frogs, paper cups, and cat faces. ^_^ They were really cool.
All in all, we stayed there for about three hours, it was a lot of fun. ^_^
We stopped by the library real quick, while Mom was busy, I poked in the book sale and found a trilogy by one of my favorite authors, and I got the three books for $3 total. ^_^
