Poisoned Shinigami Character Info/Story

This is an RP/fanfiction character I made for Bleach.  I made them back in October 2007, around the 20/21st, and I forgot to post them on here.  XD

It also should be noted that around December/January or so, when I was making up a story using this character, I put Ichigo in the story for fun, and I discovered that somehow, I was in fact, an Ichigo fangirl.  XD  So I blame that on this character.  XD

Here's my newest character, just made last night when I couldn't sleep. XD

They're for Bleach, and the fun thing about them is that part of their story is interchangable, which could make things interesting. XD



Anyways, they are a part of Squad (Insert Squad number here), and they are sent to fight a Hollow with the rest of the Squad. Well, the Hollow is going to attack (Insert character from Squad here), and my character goes to block the attack.

Well, they are successful, but miscalculated the angle, so a fang slashed their left arm. Well, the wound is pretty bad, and it is apparent that there's some kind of poison in it. The character passes out, and the rest of the Squad takes note of the fangs, and are able to defeat the Hollow.

They take the character to get medical help, but there is no antidote to the poison. The poison isn't mind control or anything special that they can find out, it's just very slowly killing the character. The wound eventually heals, but leaves a very nasty scar.

Well, since the character did save (Insert character from Squad here), and they aren't going to die for quite a long time, so instead of kicking them off the teams completely and destroying their honor, the character is instead sent to Squad 4.

Squad 4 doesn't do any fighting, rather they are a healing group, so the character won't be in too much danger, and maybe being around the healing stuff will help. They are also encouraged to try and experiment with some of the healing stuff.

(One interchangable thing is here, if they were in Squad 12, then the Captain, Kurotshuchi Mayuri, will probably take them to be experimented on. If they were in another Squad, then the Captain of Squad 12 will probably try to get them to go to be experimented on, but then one of their former Squad comrades will chase him off. XD)

So the character goes on, working in Squad 4, until one night, they sense a Hollow. So, they unthinkingly grab their sword and charge out to take care of it.

But, when they get there, something goes wrong, they can't attack it, and they pass out.

Before the Hollow can eat them, their former Squad shows up to fight it, they defeat the Hollow, and they find the character and bring them back.

They ask what in the world was the character thinking, and how did they get there before anyone else. The character replies that they sensed the Hollow, and forgot that they were poisoned, just doing their old job. Then they explain that they couldn't attack the Hollow, and just passed out for no good reason.

One of the Squad members (possibly the one that got saved from being attacked) thinks this sounds familiar, and they go to look in some books later.

They find an entry about the poison, nicknamed "The Shingami's Shame". What happens is that the poisoned Shinigami is slowly dying, but they have extraordinary powers to sense Hollows. When they do, they got to fight it, but soon pass out, in effect, bringing the Hollow a free and easy lunch. The poison has no known cure.

They explain this to the character, and tell them that they can't fight Hollows anymore. The character isn't happy to hear this, but realizes that since they can sense the Hollows better, they can alert the others to the danger.

So, the character goes about their business, and whenever a Hollow appears, they are able to alert everyone else, and thus, less people in Soul Society die due to the early warnings.



That's pretty much all I have thought out, of course, things could go differently, if I did RP the character, and maybe they would eventually find a cure. XD

4th Squad Bleach Character

Here's another Bleach character I forgot to post, I made her on April 20, 2008.  XD

I decided I needed a healer sort of character for Bleach, so I made one.

She doesn't have a name yet, though, sadly. XD

She's part of the 4th Squad, and is good at using Kido for healing.

Her zanpakto is named Kame (Tortoise). The Shikai is a medium-sized shield, pretty much just used for defense.

Since her Shikai is a shield, she has been trained in hand-to-hand combat and some martial arts to battle. (I'm considering Yoruichi having taught her some stuff, but not sure on that.)

Her Bankai is Kame Mamori Toride (Tortoise Defense Fortress). It pretty much puts a dome that looks like a turtle shell over whatever she wants, so that it'll be safe. She can go in and out at will, but it's very, very tough, and near unbreakable. I'm thinking that when she gets better at it, it'll grow in size, allow her to see in by closing her eyes and thinking about it, allow people to see out by putting their hand on the wall and closing their eyes, maybe have some healing power inside, and maybe eventually she'll turtle armor that she can harden.

I'm thinking that maybe she gets her Bankai when she's out in a battle, and is frustrated that she can't always defend and heal at the same time, and her zanpakto tells her to life the shield in the air and call out the Bankai name. Then, the dome will come out from it, and spread over her and whatever else she's within a few feet of.

I don't have a design for her yet, but I was thinking that if she had glasses, some enemy could punch her in the face and somehow break them. In her desperation, she'd try a healing Kido on her eyes, and be able to have pretty good sight, at least for a while. XD

Akane (Poisoned Shinigami), Renji, and Mr. Urahara RP Intro

This is my newest RP intro from Gaia.  It's a variation on my poisoned Shinigami tale, where the poisoned one (Akane) is put in the human world.  My partner (Tanpopo2112) wanted me to play Renji, so that's why he's involved.  Mr. Urahara is in this, because he's involved in everything.  XD  Rather convenient.  XD  It ended up being long, because I didn't want to bore Tanpopo with multiple posts of just my characters talking.  XD  I like the way it turned out, maybe could be used for the start of a story with a few changes?



Renji Abarai and a young female Shinigami stepped out of a portal to the human world. He looked a lot older and more experienced than the girl, who mostly looked depressed, though they both were wearing mostly identical clothing. Renji looked around and got his bearings then nodded to the girl. "Good, we were dropped off close to the shop, follow me." He quickly lead the way, glancing back every now and then to make sure the girl was behind him.

The girl, Akane Kasai, gave a nod and followed Renji. She had no problems keeping up with him. He had told her that they were going to see Mr. Urahara, who was a friend to Shinigami here. Hopefully he could help. As she walked behind Renji, she thought of the events of the past few days.

Things had been rough, ever since she had joined in to fight a Hollow with her squad recently. It was going to attack one of the others, and she was free, so she had tried to block the attack. But, in her lack of experience, she had misjudged the situation, and it had injured her with a fang. She had fainted after that, and woken up in the 4th squad's area for healing. Her arm was still bandaged, under her robes, from the injury.

The next day, another Hollow had appeared, and according to the others, Akane had ran out of the 4th squad after it, but as soon as she had gotten to the Hollow, had fainted again.

With the combined research of some of the Shinigami from older families and the 4th squad, they had managed to find out that she had been poisoned with a very rare poison that would slowly kill her, if the Hollows didn't get her first.

After much discussion, it had been decided that she would be safer in the human world, and perhaps the exiled Mr. Urahara could help her.

It didn't take long for the pair to arrive at Mr. Urahara's place, and Renji knocked on the door.

With both Renji and Akane standing there, to those who could see Shinigami, they looked like brother and sister, as they both had identical red hair, though Renji's ponytail was considerably shorter that Akane's, which nearly reached her waist. Even though they looked similar, there was no known relation between the two of them, except for the fact that they were in the same squad.

Mr. Urahara sensed the two at the door before they knocked. He gave a frown, recognizing Renji's reiatsu. But, the other, younger reiatsu troubled him. It seemed damaged and messed up, like something wasn't quite right with the Shinigami-if that was even what it was-that it belonged to. Though, it seemed vaguely familiar, like he had sensed someone-or something-that had an injured reiatsu like that before.

He opened the door to find that it was indeed a young Shinigami standing next to Renji, though she looked very similar to him, were they cousins? There seemed nothing immedatly wrong with the girl, but it could be some other sort of harm that had been done to her.

Mr. Urahara looked at the two a bit longer and gave a nod, "Come on in, you wouldn't be here unless you needed something. I never get any guests that just come by to say hi." His tone was a mix of serious and silly, with a hint of lazy, like it always was.

Renji gave a nod and lead Akane inside.

Akane gave a small nod to Mr. Urahara, once inside, "Thank you, sir."

Mr. Urahara gave a small chuckle at this, "You're very welcome, glad to see someone has manners." He looked to Renji, "So, what's going on?"

Renji gave a nod and indicated the girl, "This is Akane Kasai, she's part of squad 6. Several days ago, she was injured by a Hollow that contained a poison that makes her go after Hollows like crazy, but she faints every time she gets near one. They were able to find a little bit of information on it, it doesn't have a name, but it's often called..."

Mr. Urahara interrupted Renji, "...The Shinigami's Shame. I knew that I had sensed a reiatsu like hers before... One of the few cases that you mentioned happened when I was a Captain...though we weren't able to figure out what was wrong until it was too late, and he had gotten himself killed."

He shook his head, "I don't know what you expect from me, there isn't a known cure for it, if the Seireitei can't help her, then I probably can't either, I don't do much with medical stuff..."

Renji shook his head, "The others figured you couldn't heal her, that's not why we're here. They thought that she'd be safer in the human world, since the Hollow attacks are less common, and the Shinigami stationed here can handle them quicker."

Mr. Urahara thought for a moment, "...Since it's a Shinigami poison, a gigai might block some of the effects..." He seemed to be doing some sort of calculation, "She'd probably live longer in one...from what I've seen, it's possible that she'd still be able to highly sense Hollows, but wouldn't be driven to chase them..." He sighed, "Though I won't be able to do anything about counteracting the poison, it'll still kill her, though more slowly than it would if she was a Shinigami. Maybe by that time, someone will have something figured out." He looked to Akane, "Come on, and let's see what I've got..." He started to lead her back to where his Shinigami supplies were.

Akane gave a small nod, she had been quietly listening while the two discussed her fate, "Yes, sir." She followed Mr. Urahara as he went through his shop.

Renji nodded, "It doesn't seem like I'll be needed for a while, I'm going to check out the town, it's been a while since I've been able to visit here. I'll be back later to see how things are going."

With that, he accessed his gigai and left the store to explore Karakura Town.

Akane Kasai Character Development

Akane Kasai is my favorite Bleach fan-made (or original character (OC)) character, and possibly my favorite character that I have ever made.

She’s been through a lot to get to her current state.

She started out as a joke character, my sister had found a Bleach RP that was not very good.  The guy who made it, his character was pretty much a rip-off of Ichigo.  I was pretty okay with that, until I saw that he even stole Ichigo’s sword, Zangetsu.

So I decided to make a Renji rip-off character to pester the Ichigo rip-off.  I didn’t know if I would join the RP (I never did), but it was fun to make the character.

I decided that the Renji rip-off would be his and Rukia’s daughter, and for some reason, she had borrowed Zabimaru.  I thought maybe at one point there would be a rescue mission to save Rukia from who-knows-what.

I found a site with Japanese names, and decided that Akane would fit perfectly, as it meant Dark Red.  Since I stole Renji’s hair and put it on her as a ponytail that reached her waist, it went nicely.

Thus, she was Akane Abarai.



Later, I discovered a Bleach forum for a Bleach online game.  I put Akane on the RP section there and gave her a new last name by using a Japanese-to-English dictionary.  Though, I forget what it is now, I never was too happy with it.

She now had her own Zanpakto.  Creating it took me a while; I had problems deciding what kind of powers and what the spirit would look like.  That is, until I remembered a Tigger plushie I saw at the Disney Store once.  It was part of a “sherbert” theme or something, so he was blue with yellow stripes.  I thought he looked electric, and dubbed him “Tigger-chu”.

So, using the Tigger-chu idea, I made Akane’s spirit a blue tiger with yellow stripes.  I used the Japanese-to-English dictionary to name him Raikoutora, or Lightning Tiger.  It took me a while to figure out his Shikai shape, but I finally decided on a lightning bolt.  The hilt for all forms looks like a cloud.

I thought that maybe her Bankai would be that Raikoutora took physical form and was able to attack and help Akane fight.

Though, not much of this mattered, as I started her out as a newbie Shinigami, as I was fairly new to the game.

Akane was ignored in that RP, until, she was randomly chosen by the Arrancar to be kidnapped.  While she was kidnapped, she befriended a kind Espada Arrancar, got turned into an Arrancar, and had training in Arrancar abilities.

Her Arrancar form is interesting.  Her name becomes Escura (Portuguese for Dark).  She was given the number 76 by my friend that was RPing Aizen and Akane’s Arrancar buddy.  Her hair becomes shoulder length and orange (I figured that since I had based her Shinigami form on Renji, I’d loosely base her Arrancar form on my other favorite character, Ichigo).  Her mask is only a small, roundish, and smooth patch on her right cheek.  Escura’s Hollow hole is in her middle, right where her heart would be (At the time I made her, I didn’t know that Arrancar holes could vary, so I just stuck it where I had seen regular Hollow holes always be).  Her Arrancar Zanpakto is solid black (I had forgotten about Ichigo’s Bankai at the time, and was just making her somewhat the opposite of her Shinigami form).  I forget exactly what her release was called, but it translated to pretty much Earth Dog (Opposite of Lightning Tiger).  

Akane still had her old memories in this form, and was distraught at the transformation.  But, once she was being trained by her Espada friend and his other fraccion, Akane got into the training, and while she was focusing on that, temporarily forgot about her Shinigami past.  But, after resting, the next day, she remembered everything and returned to her old self.  Had she continued to stay as an Arrancar for a while, she would have sunk more and more into the Arrancar ways as she got more used to them.

She was placed under the Espada that she had befriended, and they were sent to the Seireitei for one reason or another.  The other Shinigami were surprised to see Akane’s transformation and they promised her that they’d get her back somehow.  Sadly, her Arrancar friend was killed, and when she was sent back to Las Noches, she was in despair.  For some bizarre reason, they had Aizen have Orihime turn her back to normal and she was sent back to the Seireitei.  There, she was giving her report to Captain Ukitake, when a Shinigami that looked like and had the same name as her Arrancar friend showed up.  Akane was surprised to see him, and after a while, the two became friends again.  Later, he gave her human chocolates and tied a yellow ribbon in her hair.  They fell asleep in each others arms, and then the forum blew up and the RP was dead forever.

That was the second Akane.



The third Akane was little different from the second.  I used the Japanese-to-English dictionary to give her a new last name.  It was Kasai, which meant Fire.

I kept everything else the same; she was a newbie Shinigami and the like.

She is still around and having a few small adventures and missions, but nothing on the scale as what the second one did.

So, Akane Kasai was finally created.



The fourth Akane is only different from the third in which that she has a lot more detail to her.  A friend on the Bleach forum asked me to join another forum and the Bleach RP there.  It was called Coloholics Anonymous.  They required a lot of information and detail.  Here is her profile:

The fifth Akane is a version of the fourth, with less detail and a few changes to her profile for use in other RPs.  I still play her as a newbie with no powers sometimes, but this profile has her Shikai information for when I make her more experienced.

After watching the episode of Bleach where Ichigo shows his Bankai to Byakuya and Byakuya talks about how rare and special Bankai is, I decided to remove Akane’s Bankai potential, because she is an average Shinigami and not special at all.

Raikoutora changes so that it looks like a lightning bolt and it gains a small electric charge that Akane can control slightly, depending on how much she concentrates on it. As such, she did not meet the humans until after all the chaos was over, though, she did not have much time to speak with them, as Captain Kuchiki frowns upon his squad members socializing when there is work to be done.

And that’s the current state of Akane Kasai.  I use her in RPs whenever I get a chance.  I like using her in a specific plot involving a Shinigami getting poisoned, along with other random plots, for RPs and stories I make to pass the time.  Maybe I’ll someday write out a version of my favorite one that I did by myself.

Quiet Day

Today was pretty good.  I slept in and discovered that if I stay in bed long enough, I got warm.  XD

I had a bizarre dream involving Renji.  I'm rather hazy on the details, but there was some deal with some kind of massive metal zip-line thingie that he used Zabimaru on.  I'm not sure what I was doing there.  XD  There supposedly was a land of needles below the zip-line thingie, but I was down there picking up stuff that I had dropped or something, and was wondering why they didn't hurt.  XD

My old RA showed up to say hi, it was nice seeing her.

I ate lunch at Subway with Ben, Arron, Austin, and Savaack.  We talked about all sorts of things, anime, video games, Saavack's story with all of us in it, and other fun things.  ^_^  I had a lot of fun.

Back in my room, I looked over my Geology stuff.

Then I worked on some RP stuff that I posted earlier, not sure why I wanted to do that, I just did.  XD
