Sad Valentine's Day
Feb. 14th, 2008 11:01 pmToday was blah.
English was boring like usual, just some discussion and looking up information on the Internet. Our teacher gave us bonbons, and I took one to give to Mom.
At Computer class, someone talked to the teacher about the book he did for the other class, and the teacher said he named all the characters from the Office and even had the same county as the characters in the show. XD He helped me with one little thing that was wrong with my program.
I didn't have Legal today, so I went to eat with my friends.
I told Eric about Memaw while we were waiting in line at the taco place, and he said that him and Alicia had discussed it, and they're going to have memorial candles for people they've lost at the wedding, and if I want, I can have a candle for Memaw. I thanked him and told him I would talk to Mom about it.
When Alicia sat down next to me, I asked for a hug, and then broke down and cried a bit. She let me put my head on her shoulder and she patted my hair. Moshi came up and squatted in the floor and patted my hand, they both were really kind to me, and I appreciate them so very much.
Sean asked me if I was okay while they were comforting me, and I said no. Later, he gave me a hug, along with Richard, and Chris gave me two hugs total. Chris also said that if I needed a ride home, he'd give me one. I really, really appreciate that, especially since we aren't that close of friends.
I hung around for a while and talked with everyone, we didn't only talk about Memaw.
When I left, my RA was there, and I told her what was going on. Her, Alicia, and Moshi all said that if I ever needed to talk to someone, I can call or message them online. Alicia also said that some weekend, I can spend the night at her and Eric's place. I'm so thankful I have good friends like them.
Back in my room, I talked to Dad, and he said he was on the way. My roommate was in the room, so I told her what was going on, and she said that I could talk to her anytime as well.
On the way home, Mom called, and I told her about how my friends were really nice to me.
Dad went to eat at Chick-Fil-A, and I got a lemon pie slice. He then went to Dairy Queen and got Blizzards, because he had a coupon.
At home, I hugged Mom and we talked a bit. Turns out Memaw died last night at 8:35, and Dad didn't tell me so I wouldn't freak out all alone up at college.
Later, we went to visit Pappaw. He was sad, and we talked about plans they had made. Pappaw had tore up everything relating to the medicine that Memaw had taken, because it had hurt her.
The funeral is tomorrow at 11, and there'll be visitation only for the close family beforehand.
