Do Do De Do
Slept in a bit today.
Read some of my book.
Lunch was pretty good.
Became Sannin on Billy Vs Snakeman today~ It was easier than I expected and I wasn't even trying at first. XD I had all these complicated plans and stuff to help me achieve it later, but I didn't need a single one, because some other things fell nicely into place. XD Huzzah!
Probably I'm going to try to beat Portal later~ <3
This year, the anime club is watching:
-Claymore
-School Rumble
-Urusei Yatsura
-Pet Shop of Horrors
Blah, Blah, Blah, RP, Blah, Blah, Blah
Well, I did my manga-reading canon review of Kabuto last night. I only did the chapters listed in yesterday's post, and I really only read the parts with Kabuto in it.
Naruto's never been my favorite anime, but I watched it anyways with my family. I've never read the manga before, so it helped me figure out why I've never really, really liked it.
Well, for starters, I like some of the anime character designs better. For some reason, Tsunade's face drives me up the wall in the manga. XD Manga Kabuto looks even more like Harry Potter and this made me giggle to no end. XD
Also, I like the way the fight scenes are done in the anime better, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on in the fight scenes that I read in the manga.
Another thing I liked better from the anime is the scenes where they jump through trees. With the anime, they can have continuous motion and speak, while in the manga, they have to take a snapshot of one particular piece of action to be able to show dialogue. This means, sometimes the characters are paused in weird positions, and I spent more time trying to figure out how exactly were they standing than reading the words they were saying. XD Though, I did like the one time Kabuto's face was upside down while he was speaking, that was amusing. XD
A general complaint about the Naruto franchise is that I don't care about the characters. Sure, a lot of them have cool character designs, and everyone has their own special skills and talents and families, and everyone is a different person, but...I don't know, I don't really even have a favorite character. There's nobody I really root for or care what happens to them.
Another generic complaint is that it doesn't really capture my attention, and I don't know why. Ninjas are pretty awesome. But, as I was scanning through the pages, very few scenes really caught my eye and attention, and sometimes I would even forget that I was looking for Kabuto stuff, and have to go back to read a panel I missed.
The two extra things that captured my attention were Iruka showing up and Orochimaru's summon snake Manda. Iruka's pretty cool, and I found Manda hilarious, he was like, "LEAVE ME ALONE OR I'LL EAT YOU. OKAY, FINE, BUT YOU BETTER GIVE ME A TON OF SACRIFICES LATER." XD
Okay, also, I realized that a good portion of the show/manga is that stupid test with stupid fights that don't really matter who wins. XD
Even though I read through it, I don't feel like I learned much about Kabuto at all. I had already seen the anime, but that was probably over a year or two ago since his episodes.
So...I'm not sure why I don't like Naruto. I find it somewhat boring for the most part, but that doesn't even make sense, as what happens most of the time really is quite interesting. I don't hate it by any means, but I don't really plan on reading more of the manga.
Live Journal is being slow for me today, so I might not RP much. *sulk*
I've been enjoying playing Ren again, but I forgot how much of a trainwreck her emotions are. >_> I would like to pair her with someone eventually, but I honestly don't see it happening.
Hmmm...I probably need a new character to play at Bleach Dressing, but not sure who. >_> Though, I already have more than enough RP accounts as it is. XD
