I'm Back! ^_^
Well, the fun vacation is over... Me and dad had a pretty good time, here's a short overview of what happened. Because so much happened, things may be out of order... XD
Monday - Nothing too interesting happened that I remember, me and dad left sometime that night, driving in the van.
Tuesday - Got to the hotel really early. Our room wasn't ready, and the parking lot of Universal didn't open for like an hour or so. We checked in our luggage, and rested in the van. When it was time, we headed off to Universal. We got to be on the first ride of the Jimmy Neutron ride for the day. ^_^ We did some other rides, and did the Men in Black ride several times. Though, sadly, for some reason, the ride scoring was off, and though me and dad had gotten some really great scores, the board at the end said we did poorly on multiple occasions. >_< Later, we went to the Disney Marketplace and wandered around a few stores.
Wednesday - We got up a bit early, but not enough to drive over to Disney World, so we went to Islands of Adventure instead. ^_^ Had a lot of fun there, and on the way out, we walked through the large gift shop at the front of the park. We saw a costumed Woody Woodpecker hanging out with some kids, then I noticed Spiderman. Since the kids weren't paying attention to him, he climbed up and crouched on top of a store fixture. XD XD XD It looked hilarious! Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. XD
Since we hadn't spent much time at Islands of Adventure, we decided to head on to Epcot. We did a few things, and at the Japan store, I bought some Pokemon cards and a windup robot. ^_^ I've decided to collect little windup robots, I got one at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. XD This one makes number 2. ^_^
After Epcot, we decided to go to Disney/MGM Studios. Since Epcot and MGM are seperated by some hotels and a lake, we went to see if we could catch a boat there. But, we just missed the boat, and the boats are SLOW. XD So, we decided to walk there by the walkway instead. ^_^ A lot of the rides were crowded, so we mostly just walked around. We rode Star Tours, and did a Narnia thing. At the Narnia thing, we walked into a building, and was greeted by an oversized wardrobe. XD The wardrobe opened, and we walked into a room that looked like the snowy forest, complete with lamppost. XD There was a big screen where there was a video, during part of it, someone dressed up like the White Witch stepped out on a balcony area and threatened us. XD After she was done with her tirade, the video continued. After the video, we walked out of the forest and saw some props and costumes from the movie. All in all, it was short, but pretty cool. After we were done at MGM, we headed back to the hotel.
Thursday - We got up extra early to go to more Disney Parks. We thought Animal Kingdom opened at 8 AM, and we needed to get a stamp for some VMK stuff at Magic Kingdom, so we headed there. We got there around 8:30 or so, but we had to stand outside the gate. Turns out it opened at 9 AM. >_< We waited for a while outside the gate, then they let us in partway, and stopped us again. After waiting for a bit, they started up an opening the park show. Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto were going on a safari and had a checklist. After they fulfilled the checklist, they started looking for their safari guide. Turned out their safari guide was Mickey, and he rose on a platform near the Tree of Life. After they chatted for a bit, the park was officially open! ^_^ We rode a few rides, then headed on to Magic Kingdom!
We got to Magic Kingdom and headed for Tomorrowland. ^_^ We got lucky and got a sneak preview, along with a bunch of other people, of the new Monsters Inc. Laugh Club show. It was pretty cute and amusing, though, sadly, I thought it was a bit short. I can't wait till it really opens! ^_^ We also rode the Buzz Lightyear ride, and at first, I was doing pretty poorly. But, a little over halfway through the ride, the ride stopped! This is excellent because you shoot things in the ride, so if it stops, you can get clear and unmoving shots. Even luckier was that we stopped where I could shoot a target that I knew was pretty good. ^_^ Well, my luck held out even longer, and I shot and shot and shot at the target. I FINALLY GOT THE MAXIMUM SCORE OF 999,999, thus earning the title of "Galactic Hero." I've been trying for years to obtain this score, and everyone else in my family had obtained it a lot earlier, some of them even multiple times. XD I still can't believe that I did it. XD Anyways, we headed for Space Mountain to use our FastPasses, but it was broken. We rode the TTA to try and see inside, but they didn't have the lights on, boo. XD So, since the Buzz Lightyear ride line wasn't too long, we got in that line. While waiting, one of my longtime friends from elementary, middle, and high school found me! I hadn't seen her in years, and didn't really recognize her, but her voice was pretty much the same. ^_^ We chatted briefly, but had to move on because of the line. Me and dad also watched two little and adorable Asian girls poke at each other, it was hilarious! After the ride, we went back to Space Mountain, and it was working. ^_^ We wandered around the park some more, and it started to rain. >_< It rained for a bit, then started thundering. When lightning is around, stuff gets closed, and they cancel the night parade I wanted to see. >_< But, it was several hours till the parade, so we decided to wait and see. Well, it stopped raining a little before the parade, but the parade got delayed and started a bit late. One of the minor floats was missing, but that's ok, because we were near the front of the parade, and that particular float takes a bit to warm up for it's special effects, and you don't usually see them near the beginning. After the parade, we went back to the hotel.
Friday - Dad let me sleep in late, and it was rainy, so we didn't go to a park. Soon after I got up, we got ready, and left the hotel. We got in the van and drove off. It took a long time to get home, and there was a little traffic. We got home around 11:00 PM, I unpacked my miscelleneous junk, and checked a few things on the Internet before going to bed.
Saturday - Today I got up early because I went to bed early. XD Me and my sister watched a few episodes of Bleach, and some other stuff. Dad made us cinnamon rolls to eat. While I was eating, mom came down, and showed dad an odd mark on her arm. Mom thought that she might have been bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider, so she got ready and went to the doctor, my sister came along too. I was worried because I had heard that they were really venomous. But, mom came back safe and sound. The blister got bigger all through the night, and she looked up stuff about spider bites. There were some really nasty pictures of wounds, the Brown Recluse Spider's venom makes skin rot off. >_< Mom says that according to what she read, the blister will collapse and make a hole in the skin. >_< I hope it's not too bad like some of the pics.... *shudder* Anyways, the rest of the night we just watched TV, and played on computers. ^_^
Tomorrow should be pretty relaxing too, though I'm going back to school sometime tomorrow.
