I Am An Idiot
So today pretty much consisted of one of the stupidest things I've done in a long time.
My roommate stayed the night, and I woke up early, having to go to the bathroom. I tried to close the door quietly, but the door is heavy and closes on its own. I closed it right smack on my finger. It HURT really bad, but I kept from yelling, because my roommate was asleep.
I went to the bathroom and came back, my finger was red and swollen, but the cut from the door was looking better. I looked up stuff on the Internet about broken fingers. My finger was a little numb to go along with the swelling, and it hurt on and off. From a broken finger I had previously, and the information I found, it was likely that my finger was slightly broken.
I called Mom to talk to her about it, and had to leave a message. She called back before class and I told her that I thought my finger might be broken, and she said to go to the campus doctor.
Computer class was okay, I mostly RPed on Gaia. I helped people that had questions, but the teacher was talking about some of the stuff. I was going to look at articles for my English paper, but I was tired, upset about my finger, and the teacher was distracting.
Geology went like normal, the teacher did a PowerPoint presentation.
Tea and Cookies was okay. We had some yummy pecan cookies. There was also some wonderful hot chocolate, it was Kroger Dutch Mix.
I ate lunch with my friends at the food court place. I went to leave, but Alicia said that she'd be leaving very soon, so I could walk with her. Dad then called to check up on me.
I walked with Alicia to her class, along with some other people. Then, I went to the new Health building. It was hard to get into, they were doing construction on the lawn of it, and had about half of it walled off. >_<
This was the first time I've been to any doctor all by myself.
I filled out paperwork and waited a long time. I read my book.
Finally, I got taken back, and right as the X-Ray lady came, Dad called to check up on me. I quickly told him that I was about to get X-Rayed and bye.
I got my hand X-Rayed, and I was taken to a room and answered a few questions.
A doctor lady came in and we talked about my finger.
Turns out, it's only badly bruised. She gave me a band-aid and some antibiotic ointment. She said that it might bruise more and turn purple and might swell up some more. She also said I should have taken Ibuprofen to help the swelling and put ice on it within 5 minutes.
On the way back to my room, I called Dad to give him an update.
Back in my room, I called Mom to tell her what was going on.
They were both thankful that it wasn't broken.
The people next door started up their music, so I got my MP3 player out and enjoyed it for a long time.
I tried to work on my English paper, but I don't have a thesis, and I really need a direction before I just blast off into doing something. Things don't turn out well if I don't have a direction. I'm going to try and talk to my teacher tomorrow about it.
I gave up on everything and read the book I got from the library a long while back, it was the Beekeeper's Apprentice, good book.
My finger hurts.
