May I Have Your Attention Please
Hey, a couple of my friends posted this on Facebook and I thought I should pass this along. There’s a couple different ones going around, so I’ve combined them into one that has all the information.
I’ve looked into this, it is real and not good.
There’s a site called spokeo.com that’s a new online USA phone book with personal information: everything from pics you’ve posted on FB or web, your e-mail address, your approx credit score, home value, income, age, family member’s names, address and picture of your home from Google Maps, all sorts of stuff. Some of the stuff people have to pay money to be able to see, but it’s there if they want it. Remove yourself by searching your name or email, find your page, copy the URL, then go to the bottom right of the page & click on the Privacy link to remove yourself.
You have to type your e-mail address in in order for them to remove it. Each e-mail address can only remove 2 names or so, and it looks like your computer can only remove a few each day.
Not everybody is on there, but if you’ve moved around, sometimes you’re on there for each place you’ve lived at.
If you want to share this on Tumblr, I've made a post there with the same information.
