Blah Day

I'm not sure why, but I've been kinda blah and out of it most of the day.  Maybe because I stayed up too late, I don't know.

Yesterday, I got an e-mail.  I will paraphrase it here.

"Since there is bad weather, we will have our Festival in Front of Your Dorm on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.  There will be free food, music, and Jurassic Funtime Adventures.  Here is a picture:"

I wasn't planning on reading the e-mail, because scanning past the names of EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT LIVES IN THE DORM is often longer than the e-mail itself, and often I've got the e-mail from someone else without all that.  Yay Hall Director.  Anyways, Jurassic Funtime Adventures (with picture) caught my attention, so I planned to go.  I've never actually made it to the Festival in Front of Your Dorm (officially known as Valleypalooza) before.  XD

So today I go eat with my friends and peek at the Festival in Front of Your Dorm, since it was still being set up.  Everything looks pretty cool.

I go talk to the Alumni Association about bribing them to keep my e-mail (aka giving a donation to them and getting to keep my e-mail is a perk of this).  They won't take my campus money, but they do take checks, credit cards, cash, what have you, so I'll come back later.  I did not have my purse in anticipation of Jurassic Funtime Adventures.

Lunch was fun with my friends.  ^_^  Though the food was eh, so I had a light lunch of Frosted Flakes and Raspberry Nutri-Grain.

Went to the Festival in Front of Your Dorm.  It was...okay.  The music was kinda cool, but nobody except the two guys sitting on top of the mountain was enjoying Jurassic Funtime Adventures because everyone was waiting in line for FREE FOOD FRESH OFF THE GRILL.  So I lurk around Jurassic Funtime Adventures in hope of someone coming along I could race up the mountain or something.  Instead, two little kids wander up with their families.  I sigh and give up, taking off my shoes to go in, because I'm tired of waiting.  I'm sure it would have been awesome if someone was there to race or bounce around like insane people or something, but as it was, it was eh.  I sat on one of the dinosaurs, my logic was that it was inflated enough to hold me.  NOPE.  That dino squashed down like roadkill.  XD  I hopped up real quick and went to the next attraction:  CLIMBING THE JURASSIC FUNTIME ADVENTURES MOUNTAIN AND GOING DOWN THE SLIDE.  I didn't have much trouble climbing the mountain, yay!  The slide was okay.  I gave a resigned sigh and went on to see what else was going on at the Festival in Front of Your Dorm.  Mostly it consisted of people ignoring JURASSIC FUNTIME ADVENTURES, a few people playing INFLATEABLE HOOP TO TOSS BASKETBALL THROUGH, loud music, WAITING IN LINE FOR FREE FOOD FRESH OFF THE GRILL, TYE-DIE YOUR FREE T-SHIRT IF YOU WERE ONE OF THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE; IF NOT FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO TYE-DYE, and MAKING WEIRD CARD THINGS WITH FOAM STUFF.

I could hear the loud music in my room.  XD

I did a little bit of homework.  For some reason, I just didn't get much done, even though I didn't really goof off, except when I was listening to videos.  Part of the problem was that yesterday's homework and one of the videos today has sparked a new story idea and thus I was consumed by coming up with super awesome things.  More about said super awesome things another time.

Tonight was the meeting of not-Beta (Medallion).  Before the meeting, I had an need for a COOKIE.  First I went to Java City, no chocolate chip cookies.  THESE AREN'T THE COOKIES YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.  Next I tried Subway.  TOO BAD, JUST CLOSED.  With help from the teacher advisor, I found the vending machines.  WE HAVE GRANDMA'S COOKIE BAG OF HOLDING, BUT OH LOOK, WE DON'T TAKE YOUR CAMPUS CARD AND ALL YOU HAVE IS 2 $20 DOLLAR BILLS.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  With a sigh, I went back to the auditorium.  The meeting consisted of me giving them money for lifetime membership, finding out that Medallion honor cords would come in my mailbox in the summer, voting on officers, and the chick with the ticket number one digit before mine getting money.  Juliana was there, and since she lives on the other end of campus, I thought we'd walk together, and I'd just branch off when we got close to my dorm.  I might have walked home by myself, but the lighting isn't that great in that part of campus, so I was a little hesitant.  Instead, Juliana drove and offered me a ride.  ^_^  We waited for the girl she came with, and then off we went.

Back at my dorm, apparently they're watching Twilight outside.  XD  I'm not sure why this is.  XD

Going to try (hahahaha) to go to bed early so I can get the rest of my light homework done and maybe start on my paper.  My paper confuses me, we're supposed to do a risk assesment of our computers, but we've mostly talked about risk assement of buildings.  At least it's only 3 pages.

Ooooh, rant content straight ahead! *alarm sounds* WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!

Today's rant shall be presented in Mock Old English.  Yea verily.

Today I shalt ranteth abouteth thine Campus Card.  Thine Campus Card is saideth to be usedeth at any fine campus locationeth.  Including thine holy Vending Machines.  But thine Vending Machines are out of ordereth mosteth of thine time.  This is quite inconvienteth for me, sinceth I neglecteth to carryeth thine holy one dollar bills.  All over campus, I art hath tried to use thine Campus Card to payeth for snackeths, and I art often, nay, nearly always, art faced witheth an out of ordereth Campus Card readereth, but thou can useth thine holy one dollar bills if thou wishes to have a snacketh.  I cannest not remembereth the lasteth time thine holy Vending Machine in thine lobby of thine Dorm had a workingeth Campus Card readereth, it must have verily been two years hence it was lasteth in operationeth.  This is a pointeth that hearkens thine heart verily to the darkness.
